 The Chinese School of Delaware is a registered nonprofit and nonpolitical organization and was established in 1971. For more than 40 years, the school has provided numerous Chinese language and culture education to families in Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey.

The United Way donations have never been used for compensation. The United Way funds are used for enhancing teaching, student learning, cultural activities, and events. Portions of the United Way fund are also used to reach out to the community such as sponsoring  Chinese New Year presentations to schools and libraries.
