Chair -- Hao Ni (倪灝)
I feel very grateful to have the opportunity to serve as a board member at Chinese School of Delaware since 2016. I moved to Delaware in 1999 when I joined DuPont and started my family here with my wife, then the addition of my two children. My daughter graduated last year and my son is currently enrolled in CSD. My daughter is also an active dancer at Chinese Folk Dance Troupe. Besides as an active member at the local Chinese church, I am also privileged to have served on the CACC board from 2016 to 2018. I am a current CSD Board member, having been re-elected last year.

I have been a Board member since 2018 and am the current chair since 2019. I am a full time practicing Ob/Gyn and have held leadership positions in various organizations, including at my own hospital, Saint Francis in Wilmington; the Delaware Section of the American College of Ob/Gyn; and for the Medical Society of Delaware. I am an American-born Chinese and my parents immigrated from Taiwan in the 1960’s after fleeing communist China in the 1940’s. Growing up in an immigrant Chinese household, I was exposed to all aspects of Chinese culture but did not really appreciate what that culture and language really meant until I enrolled my children in Chinese School in 2009. My oldest daughter graduated last year and both my son and husband are enrolled at CSD. During my time on the CSD Board, we have continued to prioritize the quality of education provided by the Chinese School, even during the indescribable challenges of the COVID pandemic. I believe the success of our School can be attributed to the close working relationship between the Board and administration; and the engagement and energy of our students and their families. These relationships are invaluable for the sustainability and the continued achievements of our School and I look forward to continuing this work with our CSD community.

I am the new board member of the Chinese School of Delaware, CSD. When I moved to Delaware in 2008, the first place my friend showed me was Wilmington Church, and the second place was CACC. Since then, my family has developed a close connection with CACC and CSD. My wife used to be a teacher at a Chinese school, and my two kids also are the students there. We always volunteer in CACC and CSD activities, such as Chinese New Year, Chinese Festival, etc. I am pleased to have the opportunity to serve for CSD.

I am grateful for the opportunity to serve on the Board of the Chinese School of Delaware (CSD). I am American-born Chinese and since we don't speak Mandarin at home appreciate the Immersion classes that the school offers. My family lives in PA where Chinese is not offered in school. One of my daughters is currently attending CSD -- one of the best aspects of CSD are the culture classes and events that the school hosts beyond just your typical "classroom" instruction time. It's great to see the children participate in and enjoy these sessions!

My name is Cheng-Hua (Silver) Lin. I came to the US from Taiwan in 1997 for my graduate degree, and received my MBA from Drexel University. I currently work at Well Fargo & Company in Wilmington, Delware. I used to teach at Chinese School of Delaware. My two kids have also learned and grown up in Chinese School environment since first grade. So I certainly have a deep connection with the School. I am honored to have this opportunity to serve as a board member of CSD. And I am looking forward to contributing my part to better serve Chinese community and promote its culture.

I am delighted to serve on the Chinese School of Delaware (CSD) as a board member. All my four children graduated from CSD, and the school is like home to our family. Two of my daughters came back to CSD to teach as ways to give back to the school. My wife, Wei-Haw, also served as both language and culture teacher and principal before me. I have been with CSD since 1993 when I enrolled my first two children in CSD. I have served as both language and culture teacher, curriculum director, vice principal, and principal but never a board member. I grew with CSD during those years and was (and still is) involved in local, regional, and national heritage language education. It gives me a great pleasure to come back serving on the board.
